You run a small phone repair shop. Customers bring in devices with vague complaints โ€” "it won't charge", "the screen taps itself" โ€” and you take them apart layer by layer: screws in three lengths, clips, adhesive strips and ribbon connectors. Use the wrong screwdriver bit and you strip the head. Pull a flex cable instead of lifting it and it tears. The damage stays.

You find the real fault by measuring, not guessing. Probe the board with a multimeter, read the values, then call it. Every reading burns shift time, so testing everything is not a strategy.

Parts come in three grades. Original costs full price. Aftermarket is cheap, but the customer notices. Salvage is free โ€” and one in five is dead on arrival.

Thirty days to build a reputation. Regulars remember how you treated them: do good work and they pay more and leave you scrap phones; rush a job and it comes back under warranty, on your time and your money. And inside every phone there is someone's life you can look through โ€” but look too far and the owner will know.
